Flats - around 1 1/4 hours
Shading - around 1 1/2 hours

Fur and gloves shading, added more background noise... and this is about all the time I'm gonna spend on this pic. Good enough for me, but there's this something inside of me that tells me I should've just cel-shaded it.

Ominous flame light and reflection, pants cel shading, jacket non-cel shading

From now on I'll try to color all my pics (other than Lorelei Comic, maybe) even if I only do flats. I mean, my cartoony non-detailed style is quite ideal for coloring flats onto them. Maybe I'll shade this sometime soon, maybe not...
The fire ain't realistic, but hey, it is stylish AND cartoony, isn't it?
I just added a simple background because white seemed lame at this time.

I guess I wanted to make the fire not jagged and pointy for once because pointy fire is kinda how it looks in the real world. You should see my "boiling fire" and "droplets of fire" in other pics.
